The purpose

A race is more than its result.

GC means general classification: the accumulated competition that gives each stage a place in a larger story. But a credible GC starts long before a leaderboard appears.

Zwift GC brings curated calendars, published rules, reviewed results, and connected classifications into one public experience. Race evidence remains protected, review remains deliberate, and official status is stated plainly.

The ambition is not to make every series feel the same. It is to make the difficult, repeatable work dependable enough that organizers have more room to create distinctive formats, meaningful rivalries, and reasons to race again.

That direction is larger than the platform today. Zwift GC will earn it by solving real operational problems, publishing what is known, and improving alongside the communities using it.
