1. Who is responsible

Zwift GC is an independent hobby project and community tool operated by Stefan Frederiksen in Denmark. Stefan Frederiksen is the data controller for the processing described in this Policy.

Contact: roysignaler@gmail.com

Zwift GC helps adult Zwift racing participants and approved race organizers review race results, manage classifications, and follow racing series. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Zwift or ZwiftPower.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to the Zwift GC website at zwiftgc.com, including account, classification, race-administration, feedback, and data-removal features. It also describes race data received by the Website from approved organizers and Collector submissions. Third-party websites, including organizer websites, Zwift, ZwiftPower, and Google, apply their own privacy policies.

3. Data we process

Account and administration data

When you sign in with Google, we receive your verified email address, Google account identifier, display name, and profile image. We also process session records, account status, organization memberships and roles, rider-account links, team selections, feedback, and relevant administrative actions.

Rider and competition data

We process information obtained from ZwiftPower captures, approved race organizers, and users. This can include ZwiftPower rider identifiers, rider and display names, team, represented country, racing category, age or age group, race participation, position, time, status, segment results, points, achievements, and classifications.

Source captures retained for race review can contain additional page details, raw table content, diagnostics, source URLs, and performance or profile observations such as power, watts per kilogram, normalized power, heart rate, weight, height, FTP, or power-duration values. Not every captured field is used in a classification. Zwift GC intends to minimize source collection as the service develops.

Technical data

When you use the Website, hosting and security systems may process IP address, request time, requested page, browser or device information, and diagnostic information. Feedback submissions can include the page concerned and basic browser information. We do not use this information for advertising profiles.

4. Why we use data

  • Provide accounts, authentication, rider profiles, classifications, and organizer workspaces.
  • Import, review, correct, score, and verify race results.
  • Operate age-group and other competition classifications.
  • Respond to feedback, correction, objection, and deletion requests.
  • Protect accounts, prevent misuse, investigate problems, and maintain service integrity.
  • Meet legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Depending on the processing, our legal bases are performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing a community racing service, consent where specifically requested, and compliance with legal obligations. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider the effect on riders and users and provide routes to object or request removal.

5. Results and organizers

Real rider results on zwiftgc.com are intended for signed-in users. Public demonstrations use synthetic data. In standings, riders linked to active Zwift GC accounts may be identified. Riders without a linked account remain part of rank and scoring calculations, but their standings identity is omitted or replaced with an anonymous row showing only rank and result information. Authorized administrators can access additional information needed to operate their organizations and events.

Approved organizers may obtain leaderboards for their events and choose to publish them on their own websites. When an organizer independently decides how and why to publish an exported leaderboard, it is responsible for that publication under its own privacy notice. You may contact us for help identifying the relevant organizer.

We do not sell Personal Data.

6. Cookies and providers

Zwift GC uses strictly necessary first-party cookies. A short-lived OAuth state cookie protects the Google sign-in process. A login-session cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. These cookies are HttpOnly and use appropriate production security settings. Disabling them prevents account sign-in.

Service providers may process data only as needed to supply their services. These include Google for authentication and font delivery, Vercel for website hosting, and Neon for database hosting when used in production. Approved organizers receive data for authorized event operations. Provider infrastructure can involve processing outside Denmark or the EEA; where required, appropriate legal transfer safeguards will be used.

Zwift GC does not currently use advertising or remarketing trackers. This Policy will be updated before optional analytics materially changes the processing described here.

7. How long we keep data

We retain Personal Data only while it is reasonably needed for the purposes described above. The period depends on whether the information is needed to maintain an account, calculate or verify classifications, preserve race-review evidence, administer an organization, secure the service, resolve a dispute, or comply with law.

When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Restricted backup copies may remain until they are overwritten in the ordinary backup cycle and will not be restored to active use without reapplying applicable deletion requests.

8. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or a portable copy of your Personal Data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

You may request removal of your account, rider profile, results, classification history, or other associated Personal Data through our dedicated request page or by email. We will verify that the request relates to you and delete or anonymize applicable information unless a legal reason requires limited retention. We normally respond within one month.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet, at datatilsynet.dk.

9. Adults only

Zwift GC accounts are intended only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly permit children to create accounts. If you believe information about a child has been processed through the Website, contact us so it can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to a hobby community service, including protected authentication cookies, hashed session and Collector credentials, access controls, and scoped administrator permissions. No Internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy as Zwift GC develops. Material changes will be identified on the Website and the date above will be updated. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to roysignaler@gmail.com.
